HotelMap manages exclusive hotel packages (rates and terms etc) on behalf of events. The majority of the time these rates are private and can only be provided to registered event attendees. They cannot appear on a public-facing website unless the user is in possession of a key to unlock these private rates, terms etc. HotelMap enables an event to provide a user who reaches the end of event registration or ticketing with the Private Rates Key Cookie which enables users to visit the event's hotels page and instantly view the event's private rates. Rate privacy is often mandated by the event organiser and always by the hotels.

From time to time some HotelMap services use Google Analytics. This is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets a cookie in order to evaluate use of these services and compile a report for us.
